Azerbaijani children rescued from ISIL to return home
Two Azerbaijani children sheltered in Baghdad will be brought home, Ramiz Qafarov the Azerbaijan’s charge d'affaires to Iraq told, AzVision.az reports.
Two-year-old Khadija and 3-year-old Abdulla were found in the territories liberated from ISIL. Their parents are reported dead. The children are believed to have been taken to ISIL-control territories by their parents. They were brought to Iraq by security forces.

The charge d'affaires said, the issue was discussed with representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross.

“Works are underway to return the children to Azerbaijan despite some difficulties. Detailed information will be provided later,” the diplomat added.
