Approximately 2 million tourists visited Azerbaijan in 2017
This year 1 818 258 tourists have visited Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan told AzVision.az.

The number of tourists was 159 262 in January, 154 156 in February, 244 210 in March, 187 177 in April and 211 323 in May.

There was an increase in the number of foreigners traveled top Azerbaijan in summer, reaching 243 136 in June, 313 515 in July and 305 079 in August.
The number of Russian tourists to Azerbaijan surpasses the number of Georgian and Iranians tourists.

349 807 Georgian and 249 228 Iranian tourists chose Azerbaijan as a travel destination while approximately 1 million Russian tourists travelled to Azerbaijan.

Note, in 2016, the total number of tourist visited Azerbaijan made up 2 242 783.
