Representatives of Azerbaijan’s religious communities visit NATO Headquarters
Representatives of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations and religious communities in Azerbaijan have paid a visit to the NATO Headquarters in Brussels. The visit has taken place as a result of a joint project between the European Union and the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, the Committee’s press service told reporters.
During the visit, the delegation had a meeting with NATO's heads of Public Diplomacy Division—Ambassador Tomasz Chłoń, Professor Gerlinde Niehus and Despina Afentouli.

During the meeting, the guests were informed about NATO's political priorities and its relations with partners, and the world-wide problems of security and terrorism were discussed. The heads of religious communities spoke about the projects implemented in Azerbaijan to combat religious radicalism and the state policy being pursued in this direction. The Azerbaijani delegation expressed dissatisfaction with international organizations not giving fair assessment of Armenia's occupation of Azerbaijan’s territories.
