Train derailment near Wimbledon station causes London tube delays
A train derailment near the Wimbledon station in south-west London has sparked huge delays in the British capital's underground rail network.
An eight-carriage train came off its track at low speed at Alexandra Road as the train was coming out of Wimbledon station before 6:30 am, local time.

As a result, one person was lightly injured. The London Fire Brigade arrived at the scene.

Despite the fact that the railway line is now clear and trains can use it freely, delays along several major London transport routes caused woe during the morning rush hour.

Some trains will be delayed for the rest of the day.
