Armenian delegation protests against territorial integrity issue at PABSEC
The Armenian delegation left the session hall in Kiev, where the session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) was due to open, in protest against the "violation of traditions and essence" of the organization, the Ukrainian agency LIGA reported.
The delegation noted that the head of the National Assembly of Armenia was not invited to the discussion held with the participation of the heads of all delegations.

"While the real reason for the withdrawal of Armenians from the PABSEC session was an amendment to the declaration - on the need to "help restore the territorial integrity of the states of the Black Sea economic cooperation", made upon the proposal of the Ukrainian delegation," the report reads.

"We are deeply concerned about the ongoing conflicts in the BSEC region that undermine peace, security and cooperation at the regional and global levels, negatively affect social stability and impede the economic development of the member states. We believe that these conflicts must be resolved on the basis of full respect to territorial integrity, independence and sovereignty of the BSEC member states and declare that it is necessary to contribute to the restoration of the territorial integrity of the BSEC states, recognized by the international organizations such as the UN, the OSCE, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the European Parliament, as the illegally annexed," the amendment treads.

The 50th session of the PABSEC takes place in Kiev on Nov.28-30.
