The decision on the nomination file, which had received a positive review on all criteria from UNESCO's Evaluation Body, was announced on Dec. 7, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism told AzVision.az.
The nomination file was presented jointly by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Foreign Ministry, and the Permanent Delegation of Azerbaijan to UNESCO together with the Iranian side.

“Art of crafting and playing with Kamantcheh/Kamancha”, presented jointly by Azerbaijan and Iran, was inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of UNESCO at the 12th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage held on Jeju Island (Republic of Korea) from 4 to 9 December.
