“Law enforcement officers and employees of our ministry carry out protection measures, but this is not enough,” the minister said. “The population should also understand that they harm themselves by cutting down forests.”
He said some citizens themselves are engaged in illegal deforestation.
Bagirov noted that entrepreneurs shouldn’t carry out work in the territories with green spaces.
“Over the past few years, we have repeatedly encountered such facts,” the minister said. “This causes irreparable harm to nature.”
