Mammadov said that along with the work conducted by entrepreneurs, the reforms carried out in Azerbaijan played a big role in this issue.
"Major reforms aimed at supporting entrepreneurship have been carried out at the initiative of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev since the end of 2015,” he said. “The licensing process has been greatly simplified. Entrepreneurs have been exempted from a number of taxes. Business has been exempted from inspections. A big mechanism was created to support and encourage exports and investments. All these greatly increased the competitiveness of the Azerbaijani economy."
In conclusion, Mammadov added that the country’s government will continue to carry out reforms to increase the share of small and medium-sized entrepreneurship in the country's GDP.
