7.2-magnitude quake hits off Kokopo, Papua New Guinea

An earthquake measuring 7.2 on the Richter scale jolted 156km SSW of Kokopo, Papua New Guinea, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said on Thursday, AzVision.az reports quoting Xİnhua.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 5.6 degrees south latitude and 151.6 degrees east longitude.
