Brazil woman swallows 106 cocaine pills, caught at Delhi Airport

A 25-year-old Brazilian woman was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau from Indira Gandhi International Airport after she was caught smuggling cocaine that she had swallowed

The NCB recovered 930 gram of pure South American cocaine in the 106 capsules upon her arrival from Sao Paulo in Brazil on May 14. The woman was immediately rushed to Safdarjung hospital after an x-ray confirmed that she had filled her body with cocaine capsules.

She remained under medical supervision from May 14 till May 20. After recovery of the cocaine, the NCB team arrested her on May 20 and produced before the concerned Court.

She was placed under arrest under sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and remanded to judicial custody by a court.

The woman's identity has not been revealed.
