Popov: OSCE MG co-chairs’ planned visit to Armenia aims to hold talks with new gov’t

The OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs are planning to visit Armenia next week to hold talks with the country’s new government, Russian co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group Igor Popov told reporters. 

Asked whether high-level meetings on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict are planned in the near future, Popov said that these issued will be discussed during the co-chairs’ upcoming visit to Armenia.

"We will visit Armenia soon. There will be general talks around these issues. We have yet not met with Armenia’s new foreign minister, the main purpose of our visit is to hold talks with Armenia’s new government,” the Russian co-chair added.
