EU appoints new ambassador to Georgia

Carl Hartzell has been appointed as Head of the EU delegation to Georgia, AzVision.az reports.

 

Hartzell previously served as a Senior Advisor on relations with Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, Central Asia and Turkey.

The newly appointed ambassador will take the office in September, 2018.  

The term of office of the current Ambassador of the EU to Georgia, Janos Herman, has expired. He was appointed to this post in 2014.
