Netanyahu comments on upcoming meeting with Putin

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said his upcoming meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday will be very important for Israel’s security, TASS reports.

"I'm going to Moscow for a very important meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. We will discuss Syria, discuss Iran, discuss Israel's security needs. I highly appreciate the direct and excellent relationship I have with the Russian president. It is very important for the national security of the State of Israel," Netanyahu’s press service quotes him as saying just before his departure to the Russian capital.

Netanyahu added that he would bring two children fighting cancer along with him so that they can attend the World Cup England vs Croatia semi-final match. "After the meeting [with the Russian president] my wife Sara and I are invited to the World Cup semi-final, and we were told that we could bring along two guests," the premier said. "So, we decided to bring along with us two wonderful children who are bravely fighting cancer, Mika, 18, whom my wife and I have known for nine years now, and Alon, 13, whose parents came from Russia and who likes football very much." It is very important for us to be able to make their dream come true, he stressed.

According to the prime minister, when children asked him who is likely to win, he answered, "Whoever is better." "It will be a fascinating game," Netanyahu added.
