Speaking to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Seyd Nour Alimoradi said that the injured people have been transferred to the provincial capital Ilam.
The dead person was also from Ilam, he said.
Heavy rainfalls and the subsequent floods as inflicted damages on the sites designed to accommodate Arbaeen pilgrims, who use the Mehran border point to enter Iraq and attend the annual Shia ceremony.
Around 80,000 pilgrims has reportedly entered Iraq through Mehran border point on Sunday.
