2 killed in training plane crash in southern Turkey

Two people were killed after a training plane crashed in Turkey's southern province of Antalya on Tuesday, local Demiroren News Agency (DHA) reported.

The pilot and co-pilot were killed when a TC KIM training plane fell to the ground at Manavgat district of Antalya. Their bodies were retrieved from the wreckage, Mustafa Yigit, Governor of Manavgat district, said in a statement.

Gendarmeries and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene after the accident. The cause of the crash has not been determined yet.

The single-engine Cessna-type TC KIM training aircraft, which belonged to Star Aircraft company, crashed reportedly during a low-altitude flight in western province of Izmir last summer.
