“The Boeing-737-400, which took off from the city of Kurgan-Tube, was heading to Moscow from Tajikistan. The airliner was planning to land for refueling in Kyzylorda at 07:38,” the report said.
“However, at 07:30 in the morning, the local airport received a message about failure,” 24.kz reported. “The rise in the fuel pressure influenced the work of one of the engines.”
According to the media reports, the plane landed safely, and none of the 165 passengers was hurt.
Some of the passengers are temporarily housed at the airport, and some of them in a city hotel.
Reportedly, mechanical engineers were summoned from Tajikistan to solve the problem.
“They have already started repair work,” said the TV channel, adding that to another plane was dispatched to deliver the passengers.
The airline’s name was not specified in the message.
