Saudi court held Thursday first session for 11 suspects accused of involvement in dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi's murder at the consulate premises in Istanbul, the Saudi General Prosecution said.
It added that the prosecution demanded death sentences for five suspects.
The statement said that the Saudi Arabian authorities sent two requests to Ankara asking for evidence related to the murder, but without response.
The interrogation of the suspect continues, it said.
