Azerbaijani wrestler wins gold of the Universiade
A competition in Greco-Roman wrestling with participation of Azerbaijani sportsmen has been held at the 27th World Summer Universiade in Kazan (Tatarstan, Russia).
Rasul Chunayev (66 kg) beat rivals from Germany, Poland, Turkey, Iran, and reached the final, where he opposed 2008 Olympic champion Islam Bek Albiyev from Russia. Rasul finished the battle earlier, defeating the distinguished opponent, 1 news.az reports.

Aldaniz Azizli (55 kg) took over wrestlers from Brazil and Kyrgyzstan, but lost in the semifinals to Ivan Tatarinov from Russia, and in the fight for the bronze defeated Turk Ferhat Tekin and brought Azerbaijan another medal. Thus, in the asset of our country are 4 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze medals.

Fuad Aliyev (84 kg) lost in the first round to the opponent from Georgia.

Abbas Abdullayev (120 kg) defeated the athlete from Estonia in the first fight, but lost in the quarterfinals to Hungarian fighter.
