Turkey to be represented at European Games in Baku at high level - Olympic Committee
Turkey will be presented at the first European Games in Baku at the highest level, the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Turkey told on April 28.
The NOC said that it is expected that 184 athletes will represent Turkey at the first European Games in Baku.

The National Olympic Committee expressed hope that the Turkish athletes will show excellent results at the games, which will allow them to participate in the Summer Olympic Games to be held in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

Baku 2015 is the first-ever European Games, an exciting and innovative multi-sport event for the continent that will take place on June 12-28, 2015.

There will be a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports. More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe will be representing their nations over 17 days of competition.

Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
