SOCAR clarifies reports on buying Total
Head of Turkey-based Daughter Company of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) SOCAR-Turkey Kenan Yavuz has clarified the reports on buying Total
According to APA-Economics, Yavuz refuted the reports in his statement to Bloomberg HT agency. He said that SOCAR does not intend to buy Total’s Turkey-based filling station network and no negotiations have been conducted between the sides.

State Oil Company of Azerbaijan can buy Total’s Turkey-based filling station network, APA reports quoting Aktifmedia.com website.

According to the website, recently, Total declared it will leave Turkish market.

Turkey’s filling station market amounts to 80 bln Liras. Total’s share in this market makes 5.3%.

The website claims that SOCAR and BP are also among the companies intending to buy the filling station network.

SOCAR did not comment on the issue.
