A terrorist attack is planned against the Georgian president who renounced protection, said one of the leaders of the national-liberation movement Irakli Tsereteli, newspaper "Version" writes.
"From two friends who today do not live in Georgia I was informed that a terrorist attack is being prepared against Mikheil Saakashvili," he said, 1news.az reports.
According to Tsereteli, the operation has the name - "The Viper", which is planned on 26 May. "One of the sources specially arrived to Georgia to meet with me. I do not rule out that this information is a bluff, but I consider necessary to announce it.
Physical elimination of the president would have a serious blow to the image of the country," said Tsereteli, Georgia – Online reports.
The president refused the services of the State Security Service, after its leader was appointed head of the personal security of Prime Minister Ivanishvili.
