Consumer deflation in Azerbaijan constitutes 1.1 per cent in June
In June 2013 the prices of consumer goods and tariffs for services in Azerbaijan decreased by 1.1 percent in comparison with last month, Azerbaijan`s State Statistics Committee`s report said on Thursday.
According to the statement, during the month the consumer food prices decreased by 2.6 percent, and the tariffs for paid services, provided to population, rose by 0.1 percent. Non-food product prices for the period did not change.

Last month prices for such food products as flour, buckwheat, beef, chicken, fresh fish, milk, fat cottage cheese, butter, vegetable oil, bananas, pears, cherries, plums, peaches, watermelon, cabbage, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, green beans, beets, carrots, onions, garlic, sugar and granulated sugar decreased.

An increase was observed in the prices of lamb, sausages, sour cream, eggs, corn oil, apples, lemons, strawberries, chestnuts and herbs during the month.

Among the paid services provided to the population, the tariffs of passenger transportation by railway and international air transportation increased in the last month.
