The signing ceremony held at the Higher School was attended by SOCAR-FW representatives including Deputy General Manager Mario Castellano, HR Manager Lali Alizade and Deputy Engineering Manager Adil Abbasov; teachers and students of the BHOS Chemical Engineering and Process Automation Engineering departments; and HR Advisor of SOCAR’s Revamp Projects Management Department Elnur Shikhaliyev.
The MOU aims at implementing logistical, procedural and organizational measures to train high-qualified specialists at BHOS. The document provides, among other steps, organizing lectures for the BHOS students by SOCAR-FW experts, facilitating BHOS in enriching its library with literature and audio-visual aids, supporting the Higher School in software procurement, and creating career and professional development opportunities for the BHOS students and graduates.
At the ceremony, Rector Elmar Gasimov spoke about BHOS alumni currently working at SOCAR Foster Wheeler Engineering Services and expressed his confidence that the bilateral cooperation would successfully develop. General Manager of SOCAR-FW Elmaddin Dadashov told about the company projects and cooperation with local and international partners. He emphasized that SOCAR-FW pays special attention to the work with young specialists and their professional growth.
Deputy Engineering Manager Adil Abbasov made a presentation covering operations and marketing research activities carried out by Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery. Deputy HR Manager of the Oil Refinery Modernisation & Reconstruction Project Elmir Mammadov talked about the company procedures on selecting senior students for on-the-job training and the policy for recruiting young engineers to involve them in implementation of new projects.
