Official Tbilisi does not recognize the results of so-called “parliamentary elections” recently held in Azerbaijan’s occupied Nagorno-Karabakh region, Georgia’s Foreign Ministry said on May 4.
According to the statement, the elections that took place on May 3 had “no validity”.
“The Georgian Foreign Ministry reaffirms its support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. The “elections” held in the occupied territories are gross violation of international law. The Georgian Foreign Ministry hopes that all possible formats will be used for peacefully settling the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh,” said the statement.
