EU: Nuclear Talks with Iran to Resume Next Week
The European Union said Tuesday that nuclear talks between six world powers and Iran would resume next week in Vienna.
Officials said EU and Iranian negotiators would meet May 12. Officials from Britain, China, France, Germany, Russia and the United States — the so-called P5+1 group — will join the talks May 15.

The sides reached a framework deal last month and are now trying to work out the details for a final agreement by a June 30 deadline.

Iran would cut its uranium enrichment program to keep it from being able to build a nuclear bomb. Sanctions that have hurt the Iranian economy would be eased in exchange.

Details still to be worked out include how soon the sanctions would be lifted. Iran is insisting that the sanctions end immediately upon conclusion of a final accord.
