In the section “Baku 2015 European Games: five weeks prior”, Rahimov will talk about the preparations for the European Games and sports achievements of Azerbaijani athletes.
The event organized by the EU Office of the European Olympic Committees will also be attended by EOC President Patrick Hickey, European Parliament President Martin Schulz, sports ministers and others.
The event is aimed at discussing the issue of strengthening the ties between the European sports federations and Olympic committees, resolving problems in the sports sphere and so on.
During the event, it is planned to hold plenary meetings and discussions with participation of over 200 guests.
Baku 2015 is the first-ever European Games, an exciting and innovative multi-sport event for the continent that will take place on June 12-28, 2015.
There will be a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports. More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe will be representing their nations over 17 days of competition.
Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
