Note that, the 5th meeting of the Turkey-Russia High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council was scheduled for May 16 in Antalya. However, the meeting was postponed due to the parliamentary elections to be held in Turkey.
A diplomatic source told Izvestia newspaper that, the Turkish side proposed to hold a meeting on the issue after the formation of new government. According to the paper, one of the reason for the postponement of the Turkey-Russia High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council meeting is the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the “Armenian genocide” in Yerevan.
