  Azerbaijan, Georgia discuss situation at state border

The delegations headed by Chief of the Azerbaijani State Border Service, Colonel General Elchin Guliyev and Head the MIA Border Police of Georgia Teimuraz Kekelidze held a meeting on May 6.

The meeting took place in the service area of Azerbaijan’s Shamkir border guard detachment, the State Border Service told AzVision.az.

Discussing the operational situation at the Azerbaijan-Georgia state border, the sides stressed the importance of joint efforts in combating threats to border security and underscored the need to continue an exchange of information and experience on this matter.

The sides praised the positive dynamics of cooperation between the border agencies of the two countries, noting that this factor helps prevent illegal activities at the state border.
