Chopper crash in Pakistan kills 6, including 2 ambassadors
The crash of a military helicopter in Pakistan’s northeastern region of Gilgit-Baltistan on May 8 killed the ambassadors of Norway and the Philippines, as well as the spouses of the ambassadors of Malaysia and Indonesia in the country.

TASS said the Pakistani television channels reported that given the earlier received information about the death of two local pilots in the crash, the total number of its victims has risen to six people.

According to the available information, the ambassadors of Poland and Romania, who also were in the helicopter, were seriously injured.

There were six Pakistanis and 11 foreign nationals on board the helicopter, at the time of the crash.

The helicopter made a hard landing on a school building in the Naltar Valley, resulting in the ignition of the aviation kerosene.

One of the witnesses of the incident told TASS that the school also caught fire.

The witness said there were children in the school. However, earlier it was reported that the school was closed.

A helicopter with 11 foreign nationals on board crashed in Pakistan May 8, the Pakistani army officials said, according to RIA Novosti.

The helicopter crashed in the north-east of the country. Three people were injured, the newspaper Dawn reported.

There also were six Pakistanis on board the helicopter.

The nationality of the foreigners is yet to be disclosed.
