First, the delegation headed by the chairman of the Germany - South Caucasus interparliamentary friendship group Johannes Kahrs visited regions of Azerbaijan. President Aliyev noted that delegations' visit to Azerbaijani regions has created an opportunity to get more information about Azerbaijan. Speaking of the bilateral relations, President Ilham Aliyev remembered German Chancellor Angela Merkel's first visit to Azerbaijan and evaluated her visit as a historic event for development of relations.
Besides, the head of the state noted that his visit to Germany also contributed to strengthening of relations between two countries. 'We have high level of cooperation with good prospects. The business relations also develop successfully between Azerbaijan and Germany,' President Aliyev also noted underlining the importance of participation of German companies in various projects in Azerbaijan. President Ilham Aliyev also emphasized the role of interparliamentary relations in terms of development of bilateral relations.
The chairman of the Germany - South Caucasus interparliamentary friendship group Johannes Kahrs said that the delegation has been impressed greatly by Baku and regions of Azerbaijan. Kahrs also spoke of their meeting with IDPs and work implemented by Azerbaijani government for creation of better living conditions for IDPs. The chairman also highlighted Azerbaijan's contribution to the European energy security.
During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on expansion of political, economic and cultural cooperation between Azerbaijan and Germany.
