`EU needs to take preventive measures against Armenia`

Azerbaijan wants prevention of illegal export of products manufactured in occupied territories to Europe
Brussels hosted the first informal meeting of trade ministers of the EU Eastern Partnership programme on May 7. The meeting was chaired by Cecilia Malmström, the European Commissioner for Trade.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects for the development of economic and trade relations between the EU and Eastern Partnership countries.
Azerbaijan was represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmud Mammad-Guliyev.
Speaking of the dynamic economic development both in oil and non-oil sector, the deputy FM said economic reforms are being carried out by the Azerbaijani government towards further prospects. He said, the EU is an important trade partner of Azerbaijan, underlining the existence of huge potential for the expansion of bilateral trade relations.
Mammad-Guliyev expressed his concern over the illegal export of products manufactured in occupied Azerbaijani territories to Europe, stressing that the EU needs to take preventive measures against such cases.
