President Ilham Aliyev congratulates Queen Elizabeth II

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of congratulations to Her Majesty Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

“On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I am pleased to convey to you and through you to all your people my sincerest congratulations on the occasion of the national day of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland - Queen's Birthday,” President Aliyev said in his letter.

“On this joyful day, I wish you the best of health, happiness and the friendly people of the United Kingdom lasting peace and prosperity,” the head of state added.
