The European Union is interested in delivery of Turkmen gas to European consumers, the head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan Malena Mard told.
“As you know, recently four-sided meeting was held in Ashgabat among EU, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Turkmenistan. EU was represented by Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič. The European Union is interested in delivery of Turkmen gas to European consumers. A working group has been established in this regard. Jointly with the World Bank, the EU held ecological assessment of the Southern Gas Corridor project. It’s good that we are working jointly, but we need agreement to keep working”, Mard said.
