 EU says progress made in talks with Azerbaijan on new agreement

Some progress is being made in the EU-Azerbaijan talks on a new strategic partnership agreement, said Ambassador Kestutis Jankauskas, Head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan.

He made the remarks during the presentation of the project “Strengthening the efficiency and quality of the judicial system in Azerbaijan” in Baku on Tuesday, AzVision.az reports.

Azerbaijan is an important partner of the EU, the ambassador stressed.

“The foundations of our current relationship were laid in the mid-90s. Both sides are interested in developing this partnership which require modern, strong and updated foundations,” Jankauskas added.
