The message said that the Finnish company will act as a consultant on the project management of carbamide plant construction in Sumgait, as well as conduct inspections during the period of its construction.
“Neste Jacobs Oy” has won the tender announced by SOCAR in mid-2014.
The message also said that the full commissioning of urea plant in Sumgayit is planned for 2017.
“In addition to the complete satisfaction of internal needs, in the future a certain part of the urea produced at the factory will be exported to Turkey and to the world markets through Kulevi terminal,” said the message.
Commissioning of the plant for urea production is expected in late 2016 - early 2017. The general contractor is “Samsung Engineering”.
It is expected to produce 2,000 metric tons of urea per day at the plant, which will be composed of the sectors producing ammonia, liquid and granulated area.
