Azerbaijan to produce small-caliber guns

Azerbaijan to produce small-caliber guns

Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Defense Industry will produce small-caliber guns.

APA reports quoting military sources that the Ministry and an unnamed company of the Republic of South Africa are currently developing a project on the development of 20, 23 and 30 mm caliber guns.

The serial production of the guns will be started in 2014.

These guns will be used in armament of combat vehicles and helicopters.

At present, Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Defense is cooperating with South African companies on production of various weapons and military vehicles.
