EU committed to development of energy co-op with Azerbaijan
The European Union is committed to the development of the energy cooperation with Azerbaijan, EU high representative said during a video press conference with reporters from the Eastern Partnership countries.
The event is being held on the eve of the fourth summit of the EU Eastern Partnership program in Riga.

It was noted that Azerbaijan and EU have very close ties to develop the energy cooperation.

Moreover, EU high representative said that EU highly appreciates Azerbaijan’s efforts on promoting the Southern Gas Corridor and Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline projects.

The Eastern Partnership program is one of two directions of the EU Neighborhood Policy. It was developed in 2004 to create a more solid relationship between the EU and neighboring countries. The first summit of the Eastern Partnership was held in 2009 in Prague ( theCzech Republic), the second - in 2011 in Warsaw (Poland), the third summit was held in November 2013 in Vilnius (Lithuania).
