From the beginning of the current year, the number of Azerbaijani population has increased by 0.4% or 38118 to reach at 10019575 for the July 1 of 2019, State Statistics Committee told Azvision.az.
52,8% of the population lives in urban areas, while 47,2% in rural. 49,9% of the population are male, and 50,1% are female.
The current gender ratio is 1,003 women to 1,000 men. The population per square kilometre is 116 people.
