  Azerbaijani FM receives newly-appointed Latvian and Croatian ambassadors

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has received newly appointed Latvian ambassador to Azerbaijan Dainis Garanchs and Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to the Republic of Azerbaijan Branko Zebić, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reported.

Dainis Garanchs conveyed Latvian foreign minister’s greetings to Mammadyarov. In turn, the Azerbaijani minister congratulated Garanchs on his appointment as the ambassador and conveyed his greetings to his Latvian counterpart.

During the meeting, Azerbaijani FM and Latvian Ambassador expressed gratification with the development of relations between the two countries in the political, economic, trade, cultural and other fields. Also, Elmar Mammadyarov and Croatian Ambassador discussed the existing cooperation relations between the two countries and expressed satisfaction over the current level of bilateral strategic ties.

Ambassador Branko Zebić and Dainis Garanchs presented a copy of their credentials to Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.

The Azerbaijani minister wished the newly appointed ambassadors success in his diplomatic activity.

A number of issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
