Relations with Eastern Partnership countries important for EU
The relations with the six countries involved in the Eastern Partnership program are very important for the EU, the head of the EU diplomacy Federica Mogherini said, RIA Novosti reported May 22.
"Today we have established the normal working relations between the partners,” she said. “It may not be sensational, but it is important for our people. We are working on this. Our relations, our partnership with each of them are very important for us and each of them."

Mogherini made this statement before the second day of the summit in Riga.

"I think that this will be a good day for the EU and for each of the six partners," she added.
Eastern Partnership envisages the political association and economic integration of the EU with Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. The last three countries signed an agreement on associated partnership with the EU in 2014.

The Eastern Partnership summit is being held in Riga on May 21-22. The presidents and the heads of the governments of the EU countries and the countries included in the program attend the summit.
