In January-July of the current year, 29 952,4 thousand tonnes of cargo were transported through Azerbaijan part of The Transport Corridor Europe Caucasus Asia (TRACECA) and it is 2% less than relevant period of the previous year, AzVision.az reports citing APA.
According to State Statistical Committee, in reporting period 19 643,4 thousand tonnes or 65.6% of cargos were transported by motor transports, 7340,8 tonnes or 24.5% by railway transport and 2968,2 thousand tonnes or 9.9% by sea transport.
The information reads: “15.4% or 4 619,3 thousand tonnes of cargo, transported via the corridor, is made up by transit cargos.”
