In January-August of the current year, 1 851,7 thousand passengers were transported via air transport and it is 9.7% more than the corresponding period of the previous year, State Statistics Committee told AzVision.az.
According to State Statistics Committee, 99.9% of transportations were carried out by state sector, 0.1% by private sector in the country.
In January-August, cargo transportation via air transport decreased 6.4% to 126,6 thousand tonnes.
