Italian police have charged a man who accidentally shot and killed his father on a wild boar hunt, according to reports in the country.
The men were said to be hunting in an area that connects the towns of Postliglione and Sicignano degli Alburni in the southern province of Salerno on Friday.
The son shot his father, Martino Gaudioso, in the lower abdomen after mistaking him for a boar, according to La Repubblica.
The two men, aged 34 and 55, were said to have been in a very dense area of the forest at the time.
The son reportedly contacted emergency services immediately and tried to keep his father alive.
He was charged with manslaughter after Mr Gaudioso died from his injuries, reports local paper Salerno Today.
Police are also said to have seized their rifles.
