 Kazakhstan appoints new ambassador to Azerbaijan

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed a decree to appoint Serzhan Abdykarimov as the country’s ambassador to Azerbaijan, the Kazakh Embassy in Baku told AzVision.az.

According to the decree, Abdykarimov was relieved of his duties as the Ambassador to the Czech Republic and Slovakia concurrently.

Abdykarimov was born on May 11, 1976 in Karaganda city, Kazakhstan. After studying in Almaty State University in 19983-1998, he started his diplomatic activity as referent of the Department of Europe and America of the Third Division of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry. Abdykarimov also worked in the embassies of Kazakhstan in South Korea, Austria, the United Kingdom and Bulgaria.
