  Uzbek president to visit Azerbaijan

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will attend the 7th summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking countries (Turkic Council) in Baku Oct. 15, Gismat Gozalov, Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council announced at a press conference dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Nakhchivan Agreement, AzVision.az reports.

Gozalov noted that ministries and bodies of the Turkic Council member states have signed about 30 agreements so far.

He added that the upcoming Baku summit will express support for small and medium-sized businesses.

The Turkic Council was established on October 3, 2009 in Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Its goal is the development of comprehensive cooperation among member-states (Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan).
