NATO’s large-scale military exercises to be held in Georgia

NATO will hold large-scale military exercises in Georgia in 2020, Azvision.az reports citing New York Times.

Noted that 18 member states of the Alliance will take part in the military exercises, named “European Defender”.Military exercises to be held in April-May of 2020, will be organized in 10 countries in total, including Germany, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, and Georgia.

20 000 militants from the USA, 8 000 militants from Europe will attend to the exercises. It is noted that the US will take military contingent to Europe in such amount for the first time in last 25 years.

The US stated that military exercises aimed to increase readiness within the NATO and to fight against potential challenges.
