  Seven countries confirm participation in III CIS Games in Azerbaijan

Seven countries have officially confirmed their participation in the III CIS Games, which will be held in Azerbaijan this fall, AzVision.az reports, citing the Baku City Circuit.

The registration of delegations for participation in the competitions is ongoing.

According to the latest data, 1,659 athletes from seven CIS countries - Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan - have registered in 23 sports.

The total number of delegation representatives is 2,385 people. In team disciplines - football (U-16), basketball 3x3 and volleyball, six countries have confirmed their participation.

More than 100 athletes have applied for participation in individual sports, such as wrestling, boxing, judo and taekwondo.

Only delegations from the CIS countries have registered at the first stage. In the second stage, representatives of countries outside the Commonwealth invited to the Games will be allowed to register. In total, about 5,500 people from 23 countries are expected to participate.

The competition will be held from September 28 to October 8, 2025, in seven cities of Azerbaijan: Ganja, Yevlakh, Mingachevir, Gabala, Shaki, Goygol and Khankendi.
