  Meeting of CIS Council of Foreign Ministers kicks off in Turkmenistan

A meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers kicked off in Ashgabat on Oct. 10, Azvision.az reports referring to the Turkmen Government.

The council coordinates the foreign policy activities of the CIS states, including their activities in international organizations, and holds consultations on world politics issues of mutual interest.

Draft documents aimed at deepening cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, ensuring security, and others are on the agenda.

The ministers are expected to adopt the Program of Actions for Enhancing Partnership between the Foreign Ministries of the CIS states, coordinate the documents that will be presented on Oct. 11 to be signed at the CIS Council of Heads of State.
