World Bank to provide technical assistance to Azerbaijan
The World Bank will provide technical assistance to Azerbaijan.
The Ministry of Taxes jointly with the World Bank has prepared a draft agreement on technical assistance on the project on stimulation of cashless transactions.

The World Bank has assumed the financing of events implemented wthin the framework of the agreement.

According to Oxu.Az, the statement came from the economst of the World Bank on Azerbaijan Kongian Tan at a meeting held on May 25.

"Today the Ministry of Taxes, the Central Bank and the World Bank are discussing the legal aspects in connection with signing of an agreement on technical assistance on the project of stimulation of cashless transactions", he said.

In turn, the first deputy minister of taxes, Natiq Amirov noted that beginning from 2014 the World Bank has done numerous works on provision of technical assistance connected with the stimulation of cashless economic transactions.

The meeting was attended by manager of the World Bank on Azerbaijan Larisa Leshenko.
