Zaharieva noted it will be great achievement for Bulgaria to receive Azerbaijani gas.
Azerbaijan will import 1 billion cubic metres (bcm) of gas to Bulgaria starting from 2020 in accordance with the agreement between Baku and Sofia.
Bulgarian FM also touched on regional conflicts highlighting that stability in the region, the welfare of citizens and settlement of the conflicts are a priority for the EU.
"The only way to solve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is through peaceful dialogue. I have to say that the EU has a special approach to the South Caucasus", Zaharieva noted.
